Storyboards, for those that don't know, are a seris of drawings and camera directions drawn up to help the directors and actors etc, to navigate through the movie by seeing an idea of what things will look like ahead of time. I had a storyboarding class early at AIP, and we did alot of work on them. There's a bunch on here. I count the animatics too. You have to click the link to see them, they are HUGE files because I had to keep them large enough so everyone can see the pictures as well as read the text. so be warned, they take awhile to load.
This assignment was to create a storyboard using just a black pencil, and have it talk about something that Pittburgh needs for a 30 sec commercial as well as have some upbeat character promoting it. Alot of people did bum control, and other such products.. but I took a particularily different path, and well, you can see for yourself.
The Protecto Pocketknife
Animatics are like storyboards, except it is all drawing and now camera direction. They are far more detailed, and bigger shots.
In quarter 5, I had to create a 10 second animation, but instead of using Fox, like I always did, i used a new girl that I created. Her name is "Alexis Valenti" and I did a small storyboard planing with her. That is shown, here.
FINALLY able to scan this, This comes in two parts. Because it's fairly long.
For this, we had to make a device that you think students could use. Since i was worried about muggings and stuff, at the time, i set out to make a mugger protection device.. of sorts. Cartoony style humor. Decent shading with markers, but it was a rush job.. And it shows.
