The links page, now back with a vengence.. Before, this was for friend's pages, and I never updated it. It was awful. NOW, I'm going to make the effort to jam pack this with links i've collected, places I like to go, and of course, friends pages too. So whats on here so far?
Friends pages, Art pages, 3d pages, Dragon pages, Online Comics, and other Misc links. Enjoy!
This Is Ali's site. He is a long-time-online friend of mine, who is a really good character artist, as well as a nice guy and creative genius. Well, maybe not a GENIUS per-se, but he is the guy I've been working with for over 4 years now, with the DRF storyline thats on Fox's page. And I've been non-DRF RPing with him for even longer! Ali has TONS of art, but unfortunately he barely has 10% of it on this page. Either way, you can go check it out. He drawing in the "anime-style", by the way.
Aaron is an old roomate from back in my first year at AIP. He moved off to chicago instead, and now goes to the Art Instistute out there. But he's got some really nice stuff, and I lost the link to his new NEW site.. This will be fixed ASAP.
Katey is an old friend from high school, who's into printing and various arts and crafts stuff, AND web design. Her page is pretty cool. Not updated that often, but she's getting better.. Lately it's been changing EVERYTIME I go there. So maybe you'll get some amusement out of that.
Now, if you know me, you KNOW that I don't like people who don't try to make up their own style, and copy anime.. But, a friend sent me this site, and Besides showing the anime side of things, it's a VERY good place to go, for a better understanding of how to make characters in general.
WARNING! This page has some.. *cough* explict.. pictures on it.. But the characters are really good.. and very well done, and none human. If you can look part the overwhelming sexual tone (or maybe thats ALL you care about.. pervert!) then the art is some damn nice stuff.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! Whiles browsing around on IGN, I stumbled over this site. TMNT used to be one of my favorite cartoon growning up, and on this site, it has tons of artwork from BEFORE that show, in a section called "Blast from the Past". It's damned cool, and run by one of the guys who created the seris, Peter Liard.
Siggraph is THE Animation festival. It's held every year, and all the major companies like ILM, Dreamworks, Pixar, and etc. come to show off their stuff, and recruit new people into the business. This site also has a directory of TONS of Computer Animation and 2d Animation, companies along with thier website. If you're thinking about getting into the industry, you'd best check this place out.
This is a really cool site I found when searching for how to make lightning in 3d studio MAX. It doesnt tell you how to do that.. unfortunately, but there are TONS of other things it does tell. Each tip or trick is also a link, bringing you to a page where it's described more in large detail. It's not all 3ds MAX things either, some are for "generic 3d" as the graphic states.
Here is a site that I found very useful. It's not all 3dsmax though, once again. The actualy site is "3dlinks.com" which contains quite a bit of information for many various 3d programs. Just the particular spot that I saved, was centered around 3dsmax.
3d cafe has a staggering amount of information and tools on their site. Not only do they have their own collection of information, but they also have a mssive library of links, or other 3d sites. So if you can't find it on theirs, maybe someone else will have it!
Zoorender kinda confuses me.. they have some really kick ass artwork around, but then.. they have total absolute garbage too. I think they need some sort of a standard.. But, it's a fairly nice site. I cruised the gallery.. which is quite huge.
This page has waaaaaayyy too much information.. but it is damned useful for those interested in drawing dragons (You think I just pulled Fox out of my ass?) It has some animations, and diagrams and long paragraphs describing everything.. If you ever wanted to know about, or draw dragons.. This is the place for you.
I don't exatly remember where I got this link.. but it has some pretty cool art up there. The only thing that bothers me.. is the webmaster thinks shes a dragon.. oh yes.. But oh well.. artists are supposed to be crazy.. right?
This page, has almost everything you would ever want for dragons.. except information. This is more of an artsy page, than a researching tool. It's got desktop themes and pictures and..
well.. go look!
Much like everything else, theres tons of stuff on this page.. I mean.. TONS
This lady just has artwork. But she has ALOT of it.. And it's all, amazingly, hers! The detail on some of them is really amazing, I highly reccomend checking it out.
Random Misc. Pages
This is a web cartoon that takes the sprites from FF1 and uses them in some extremely hilarious situations. If you like FF, or like to laugh.. you must look at this site!
Here's another web cartoon, and the focus is gaming. If even you're not a gamer, The jokes are mostly easy enough to understand. And again, it's hilarious.
Wait.. a church site.. on MY SITE?! Not quite.. see.. this site makes FUN of religion. Christains in particular.. If you're a religious freak.. do NOT go here, you will be outraged.. offended.. and maybe even go insane.. But in the meantime.. i'm gonna laugh.. because this is one damn funny site.
So Where the hell IS Barbados? Damned if I know.. But this site has some REALLY Awesome pictures on here. Definitely a great place to go if you want to draw some.
One of the greatest RPG's of all time.. as said by myself, and many others. When I was looking for some CT music, I came across this. It's got quite a bit of stuff on there. Pictures, music, FAQ's, the works!
This used to be a webcomic called "The Jar" and Now it's something else by the same artist. Pretty cool, not as funny as the Jar though, I don't think.
A comic based off actual happenings (okay not exactly..) in real life! Reality might be lacking in some places, but it's all BASED off real people, and real events sometimes. Mostly a gamer comic, even non-gamers should be able to get a good laugh.
Pay no attention to the name.. this is mainly a mega man sprite based webcomic. And it has a massive archive too.. besides THAT, it has more archieves from other web authors. If you love mega man, this is what you would call heaven. For the rest of us, this stuff is still pretty damn funny!
THIS Comic IS our reality with animals. It[s a very interesting take on what things would be like if animals (tigers, dogs, etc) walked like we do. Damn funny site, and good drawings too.
The comic is hilarious, the drawings are awesome, and the gallery of non-comic work is even MORE amazing. If you don't go to this site, you are only hurting yourself. Oh yeah, and it's also a gamer/college comic. There, now will you go?
Kyle hasn't made a name for it yet.. so this is my name! It's another sprite based mega man comic, inspired by Bob and George. Not too many of them right now, but whats there is qute funny. AND! Fox makes an appearence, thanks to my custom sprite skills..and photoshop.
It ends short though. His computer crashed, and he's too LAZY to redo those "custom sprites" which are really just "turn blue to green" which is a simple slide of the hue/sat bar in PS..
A Band my friend Brian (B-Rock) is in. Used to be Hydra, then Hydra Six-0 (when they found out someone else had "Hydra") and now, with the loss on one band member, is "Uvis Genuvis". Don't ask about the name. Sources tell me "It means nothing, it's just something Steven said". So there you have it. Oh and, Steven is a member of the band too. Anyway, they do good music! Too bad I can't hear them anymore.. *sob*
The Drawings aren't the greatest on this site, but the concept and the jokes are really pretty funny. It has an ongoing plotline, and I found myself getting hooked into it. Good writing!
This site is about a Fox that pairs up with a Rabbit, and then crazy adventures follow.
It's very funny, with fantasic expressions, and in the later comics he REALLY gets good with Photoshop. The shading and coloring then becomes fantasic, and you get one damn nice webcomic.
A webcomic that reminds me alot of Calvin and Hobbes, which was my favorite sunday and comical comic strips (in book form). So of course this site appeals to me. It only reminds me about that though, because they're kids, but talk like grownups. Pondering the meaning of life and such. Either way you look at it, this is a VERY good comic. I highly reccomend it.
This is a comic that seems to be updated monthly. But it's extremely good. Some adult themes though. Not for little kids! I swear this guy worked on tiny toons and that style of animation.. But I can't see any information about that on his site anywhere... Ah well, this is high quality art right here. Click "archives" to get the list of comics.
Here is a comic that actually kinda blows my mind. It's a flash comic no doubt, but everything is animated, using the game sprites.. and he updated it almost every 2 days. Thats pretty fast for what is there! The comic itself is extremely funny. Even MORE funny if you've played the game. And since I played it about 50 billion times.. I know exactly what they're mocking, all the time. It's great ^_^
This site is awesome.. It has TONS of remixes of old NES tunes all the way up to some next gen stuff. It's all done by people who enjoy doing it, doesn't cost anything, and sometimes has the orginal soundtrack for download too! The only thing is that alot of the songs are the hardcore bass drum, beeping, techno. But if you're into that stuff.. hey..
And beware of the popups..
Oh and, for those masochists out there, THIS is the worst song I have ever heard..
Truthfully, I haven't listened to this site much yet. But it's basically a "radio station" online, that plays game music all the time. Specifically, RPGs. So thats pretty cool. Just as long as they don't start repeating things every 2 hours.. like the REAL radio stations..
